Mane retailers are struggling to be profitable in Nordic but it seems Elkjop/Elgiganten have find a model that work for them. Before the holidays, Elgiganten CEO in Sweden Niclas Eriksson was optimist for a sales record and now he claim; " We did this also , by far". According to him Elgiganten sales in Sweden increased 12.2% compares with previous year. Number of customers that visit shops also increased by 7% and online sales increase of 21.6%. Niclas Eriksson also notes that 25% of sales through customer service and the internet went through Elgiganten service Collect @ store , where customers book their product and then download it into the nearest department store. Similar trends can be found in Norway and Finland so it seems Elkjop/Elgiganten have find a model that work for them in Nordic.
