Tough year for TeliaSonera

The end of the year was tough for TeliaSonera. The company lost 2.1 % of sales in the fourth quarter, now sales landed at 26.503 billion SEK, compared with 27.069 billion the same period last year. The Telecom operator also lost on the profit side, operating profit for the period was down by as much as 41.7 % to 4.56 billion SEK. Corresponding period last year the figure was 7.826 billion SEK. – “The overall trend was affected by moderate economic growth regulatory effects and a rapid change in customer behaviour”, says CEO Johan He Lind in connection with the report.  TeliaSonera also announced that they are ready with personnel cutbacks. One-time costs of this amounted to SEK 1.2 billion in 2013.
