Volvo cut staff and offer Volvo IT for sale

According to business newspaper DIs sources, there are a concrete proposals to offer Volvo IT for sale that will help save billions of dollars per year for Volvo. The Proposals to let someone take over Volvo IT will not get any less interesting now that the company wants downsize and let go of several thousand employees. 

The contacts made between Volvo and interested IT companies and the conversations that are happening said to be very real and serious. Volvo's two largest shareholders, Cevian and Industrivärden, have announced that they want a clear improvement in earnings for 2014, and then a sale of Volvo IT would be a good way out of the difficult economic situation the company is in today.  Volvo's management has chosen not to comment on any rumours of the talks and the possible contacts made, but say that there is always a lot of discussion in all areas of a large company such as Volvo.
